Choosing a one-shoulder wedding dress
A one-shoulder neckline runs diagonally from one shoulder to under the opposite arm, leaving one shoulder bare. The asymmetric line draws the eye up towards the face and works with A-line and mermaid skirts alike. Depending on the design, the covered shoulder has a single sleeve, a strap or a detachable sleeve; check each gown's photographs and details.
The support comes from the bodice and the strap together. Most gowns here list a built-in bra and a corset bodice; check “Built-in bra” and “Corset” in each gown's details. The bodice is cut from your bust, waist and shoulder measurements, and our team checks them before production. Made to measure, the gown is delivered within 2.5 cm (1 in) of the measurements you order; a small local adjustment may still be needed.
With one shoulder bare, keep jewellery simple on that side: earrings or a bracelet often work better than a necklace. Production takes 8–12 weeks for most gowns and 10–14 or 12–16 weeks for some; each gown's page shows its time. Delivery then takes 1–2 weeks. You can pay in full or in 3 interest-free installments.
Is a one-shoulder wedding dress comfortable all day?
Comfort depends on the bodice more than the strap: the bodice carries most of the support, so accurate bust, waist and underbust measurements matter most. Measure over the underwear you will wear on the day, and ask us by chat, email or WhatsApp if you have questions about a design.
Can I wear a bra with a one-shoulder wedding dress?
A standard bra will usually show. Check “Built-in bra” in each gown's details: most gowns here list one, so a separate bra is usually not needed. Otherwise a strapless bra is the usual choice.
Is one-shoulder the same as off-the-shoulder?
No. A one-shoulder neckline covers one shoulder and leaves the other bare; an off-the-shoulder neckline sits below both shoulders, with straps or sleeves across the upper arms.
