What to expect from the Renaissance collection
The Renaissance collection is a line of newly made, modern bridal gowns by the designer Lorange, not reproductions of historical dress. What gives it a romantic, old-world feel is the structure: nearly every gown is built on a corset bodice. Most are A-line, with a few mermaid silhouettes. Necklines are mainly sweetheart and illusion, alongside some deep V, V, high and off-the-shoulder designs, and a few gowns have long sleeves. Expect beading, sequins, imitation pearls and lace appliqués on mesh, glitter mesh, chiffon, satin, organza and tulle. Several designs are two-in-one, with removable sleeves, a detachable skirt, a detachable train or detachable bows. Each gown is made to your measurements or in a standard size; check the production time on the dress page against your wedding date.
Are these historically accurate Renaissance gowns?
No. They are newly made, modern wedding dresses with a romantic, corset-structured bodice, not reproductions of historical dress. Look at each gown's photographs and specifications to see its exact neckline, sleeves and fabric.
How does a corset bodice fit when the dress is made to measure?
The corset is shaped using your bust, waist and other bodice measurements, so accurate measuring matters most there. Follow the measurement guide, note the shoes you plan to wear for the hem, and have your consultant check your measurements before production starts.
